There is a slight hairline crack behind the tang. No cartouches, or the "P" proof are visible. Wood is good with some minor scratches/dings but appears to have been refinished at some point. There are traces of blue on the lock plate, triggerguard, barrel bands, hammer, trapdoor, and buttplate. Barrel and receiver have turned a plum/brown patina. bore is a little dark/dirty but rifling present. Correct ladder adjustable rear sights stamped "R" for rifle. This rare, antique rifle remains in unbelievable condition especially when you consider that it is 141 years old.
