Not all mods are compatible with this tool and it is currently in its early stages of development. In order to utilize a previously generated save (that was produced ONLY when this tool was utilized) all of the mods that you enabled when first generating the save MUST be enabled through the client for all players, and NO NEW MODS should/can be selected (the save will not work, otherwise!). In order to utilize this program in multiplayer with fellow players, all of you must have this program and the desired mods downloaded, installed, and selected through the client. Just a few things to note that should be expected from using this tool:

When you click the "Star CiV button", all of the activated mods will copy their necessary start files to the required directory, while at the same time backing up your original core-files (meaning you can exit out of this client and retain FULL ACCESS to the regular game as if this client never was implemented in the first place), and finally Sid Meier's Civilization V will be executed via Steam. And whatever mods are eligible for multiplayer usage can be interchangeably activated and/or deactivated depending on which mods you want to play with. Basically, how it works is it parses your installed mods in the directory they are located in and creates a list of currently supported mods. Both custom mods and mods available in the Steam Workshop (providing they're properly installed) are 100%, fully-supported with this client.

All activated mods will copy their necessary files to the BNW directory (CiV Install Dir\assets\dlc\expansion2) while backing up original files. You can than activate the mods you want to play with. It parses your installed mods in the CiV userdir mods directory (usually My Documents\My Games\Sid Meiers Civilization 5\MODS) and creates a list of currently supported mods.
